We bought the extended warranty and used it pretty soon after moving it into our new house. The LCD panel went out twice followed by the ice maker. After 6 repair visits Home Depot totaled it out as a lemon. Never had ice maker problems in the past. Glad we got the extended warranty!

the freezer door handle fell off after 3 pulls and the screws are threaded into thin metal and stripped out. The plastic is so thin all the baskets are cracking and are very expensive to replace. the bottom deli drawer fell apart. looking at over 400 dollars just to replace plastic that will probably break again. Still dont know how to put the handle on the freezer unless i rivet it back on permanently

After having issues with our ice maker we called an area Frigidaire technician who found the rear of the refrigerator had rust behind the ice maker with an ice ball forming and told us this CANNOT be repaired.Your products should last longer than 5 years without incurring obvious material defects with design flaws.

The response from Frigidaire? They would give me a ten percent rebate on the purchase of a new Frigidaire refrigerator. Unacceptable...what poor customer relations and poor quality.

Blocks of ice freeze this unit to your house

This unit has a major design flaw, mine created an ice block on the rear of the refrigerator which froze to the wall and then tore a chunk of drywall with it. Also I now have some mold issues back there because of this and all the help I could get was to send out a tech to inspect at a cost of $99.95. Very disappointed in a brand I used to trust.

We bought this fridge 5 years ago to complete the kitchen in our brand new home and I am beyond disappointed! After two years of use the ice maker quit. I had a repairman out and they replaced the condenser fan and gasket and told me that this would be an annual repair. He was NOT kidding, we have had to repair the ice maker 3 more times and I am pretty sure it just quit on me again tonight. We paid $1800.00 for this brand new and have put an additional $5-600.00 in repairs and my last response from you was a 20% discount on a new refrigerator with a 60 day expiration???? I understand appliances can have issues, and I researched brands in depth before buying and thought I was getting a good deal. Unfortunately, I did not. Model and serial number attached so you can look up my record to confirm what I am saying. If YOU truly want to help a consumer YOU will contact ME, not respond with the standard glib response asking ME to contact you. Lots of room, but ice maker stopped dispensing after 3 months. I can get the ice maker to work until you open the doors then it quits, and I have to unplug the doors and plug them in. Then dispenser works until someone opens the door.

This has the worst ice maker ever. It is loud. It will die numerous times and you will pay big $$$ to repair it--and then it will happen again. It broke once under extended warranty, and then has happened several times since. The ice maker continues to freeze up due to terrible design and if you Google it, you will find videos addressing this specific issue since it is so common. I watched you tube videos to learn how to disassemble and have removed it twice, only for ice maker to start working, and then freeze again within 72 hours. You get what you pay for. I will never buy another Frigidaire again.

Fridge is nice looking however the fridge is barley 2 years old and the display at for the water ice maker is already going bad. Selection lights not lighting up and the lines that make up numbers are starting to go out. I think this should last longer the two years!!

I bought this 2 years ago and have had the same issue with the Ice maker 3 times now. The first two times were under warranty and the third time was not. I will never buy another Frigidaire appliance ever again. The customer service is not helpful and a third party is required to service these items. Such a waste of money. When I had the fridge serviced the third party admitted that this was a common issue with these models and the company knew about them and weren't going to do anything about it. The outside of the fridge gets dirty very easily and the filtration system does not work leaving particles in the water from the door.

I bought this fridge a little over 3 years ago. Door ice maker went out 3 times during warranty, and since it is no longer in warranty, it broke the 4 time, and I no longer have ice maker. The doors do not stay closed well. The freezer drawer is not a good self closing drawer, so if you do not close it tightly on purpose, things get frosted over. It was the most expensive fridge I've ever purchased, and I already need to get a new fridge. I'm very disappointed. I see it has been discontinued, which is a good thing. But if you have the opportunity to buy a used one, do not buy it.

Constant ice maker problems!

This refrigerator has a defective design and the ice maker freezes up and doesn't make ice, then the ice holder gets too warm and the ice cubes melt and water sloshes out every time the door opens. Turning off the ice make and removing the ice maker for a couple of months causes the frozen mechanism to start working again. Lots of negative reviews online showing this is a common problem with this model. Save yourself the hassle and pick a different brand with better reviews !

Bought this in October, Frigidaire sent 2 repair men to replace parts that "should" fix the leak, it didn't! When the ice dispenses the ice that doesn't come out sits in an opening that is not sealed so as the ice melts it drips and splashes out, long after you removed a cup. A repair told me, the manufacturer knows but they can't fix it but they sell so many they don't care!

Five Repairs Three Years

Any of the bad reviews could be my review. Ice maker is horrible. I have had this refrigerator just three years and had the ice maker fixed FOUR TIMES. The first time was within three months. Then again two times after that within a year. The fourth time Frigidaire sent out one of their company techs to repair it. He told me that basically "engineers were put on the issue to make a retrofit solution for the icemaker because they've had so many problems" and he assured me "this will fix it this time". Well, it did for 15 months but HERE WE ARE AGAIN. SINCE HE WAS SO CONVINCING, I didn't get an extended warranty but what the heck. With the cost of continual warranties "just in case" I could buy another refrigerator. Not sure I should incur the expense because I truly feel it will just be putting good money after bad, the cycle won't end. So they've discontinued this model, not surprised, models change all the time. But this one was probably taken to pasture sooner than money. Not the feedback Frigidaire wants, for sure. Well, off to contemplate what to do......

So Happy Until No Customer Service Help Saturday!

Bought apartment and the four major Frigidaire appliances in it one year ago. Have loved them all. New problem though. Called Frigidaire CustomerCare at 2:45 pm today but auto-message said to phone back during service hours even though it was during service hours. Have cared for refrigerator™€™s icemaker/water dispenser exactly as advised on customer care page (replacing water filter, emptying icetray to keep auger working well etc.). But water started leaking onto floor via door dispenser and upon inspection I found ice cube tray held only water, ice cube bin run low and solid ice and thick frost built up all over mechanical back section of unit. Turned icemaker off and thawed it out. Turned back on but it still doesn™€™t make ice anymore. What to do? Need to talk with Frigidaire CustomerCare to determine whether I can get it fixed. Certainly can™€™t afford to buy a new fridge nor expensive service visits that do not result in a lasting repair like other customers report here. Do I need to invest in old-fashioned DIY icetrays and make cubes in the drawer freezer from now on?

Always had problems!

Its a beautiful looking fridge, it holds a lot of food. That being said, we always had issues with it. The ice maker worked every other month which was just a pain to deal with. It always made loud clanking noises, so loud it would wake us up in the middle of the night. Then finally after just 3 years the compressor went in it and we now need to buy a new fridge. If you buy a Frigidaire product, buy the extended warranty, you're going to need it!!

We purchased this refrigerator in July of 2016. By January 2017 (6 months) we had to have the ice maker replaced as it would no longer make ice. It was still under warranty at the time. Now here we are in December 2018 and the ice maker is not working AGAIN! I'm really not happy about having to replace this ice maker AGAIN - this time at my expense. I wish I had done my research before purchasing this model/brand.

Ice Maker Will not work

Had the refrigerator up and running for about 4 months when the ice maker when out the first time. Had repair man come and replace some parts. Next month the ice maker went out again. Again repair man came and replaced additional parts. Less than 12 months later ice maker out again!!!! This time repair man tells me there are no more fixes for the ice maker. Good thing i bought extended warranty for refrigerator. Repair man would "defrost" ice maker and it would work for 3 days. After 3 days it would be frozen up again. This happened multiple times. Finally RC Willey extended warranty credited me $ to buy a new fridge. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR YOUR TIME TO HAVE IT FIXED OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Disappointing

Bought new 1 1/2 years ago. Very loud popping noises all the time. Ice maker doesn't work half the time, which started after having it 1 year. Freezer has thawed on its own occasionally-this is not due to too much stuff in it or needing arranging it. Little rust spots all over front of refrigerator, even though I am careful to dry it well. So I am asked to write a new review because my original "directed business away". Um yes.... that was the point. I would not advise buying this refrigerator. And the warranty purchased is not helping to correct the problem. I bought this refrigerator 1.5 years ago. It has had ice dispenser problems with in 6 months of purchase. I had them repair under the initial warranty and then purchased the extended warranty due to the continued issues with the ice dispenser and doors that won't seal. They actually will OPEN as they barely just rest on the door opening. The ice melts and flows out onto the floor. OR it refreezes and the dispenser will deliver shaved snow cone ice with what sounds like tremendous difficulty (if you reference the noises emitting from the dispenser motor). They will have been out 6 times (I have another little visit scheduled for tomorrow). This is a big problem as I work full time and single with no one to share this excitement. If you are someone who does not work, or spends a lot of alone time wondering when you might get a visitor, then this is for you! They will be visiting A LOT! They will not replace or refund the purchase as per the warranty. On the actual extended warranty link directly on the Frigidaire website: "A brand new product, if needed It™€™s true. Our replacement coverage entitles you to a brand new major appliance with comparable features if yours can™€™t be fixed, or if it simply makes more sense to replace it." Wrong... and this is up to interpretation. What makes "sense" to me, does not make sense to them. I have asked for them to review the claims for a new product and "no". AlI I want is a refrigerator that works properly. This has been an enormous headache. Buyer beware.

I bought this 1.5 years ago and the compressor already has gone bad. Warranty only good for 1 yr. A lot of money to pay for something that broke so quickly.

2 days old, refrig/freezer do not work. This is a lease deal and Frigidaire service tech/app't not available for 7 days. As of 3:00 p.m. 6/29/2018 there is no alternate assistance and we have called Sears Refrigerator service for assistance. So far, all repr's are busy.

Very disappointed. Bought a Frigidaire fridge little over two years ago and The compressor went out which is not covered so I am having to purchase a brand new fridge. I bought this at Christmas in 2016, so it's about a year and a half old. The ice maker has been out for months and I finally got around to having a repairman come out. Found that there is a known defect in this ice maker and Frigidaire came out with a kit to repair it. After tying to get them to fix it, they refused since it's a year and a half old! Even though it is their design flaw!

Very little room

Have had this a few months now, looks are deceiving, there is very little room, the shelves in the doors are too small, the adjustable shelves in body really don™€™t leave much room as the supports are in the way. Not a well designed product. The ice maker is in the fridge so consequently it leaks as the ice in the tray melts. Thought the freezer drawer would offer more storage room. Wrong! Very unhappy with this appliance and now I™€™m stuck with it for who knows how long.

I bought this 2 months ago and I couldn't love it more. Its got so much room and the bottom freezer is so so big and you can fit so much more in it! My favorite feature (and a huge reason I bought this one) is the ice and water function though!

Ice Maker Issues

I have a repair call pending for the ice maker, which has quit twice in 6 months. My neighbors (3 of them) have this same refrigerator - we bought new homes in same community and this was the package) -- ALL have had repair issues in less than a year.
