We bought this as a replacement for a Friedrich wall unit that lasted only two years. The Frigidaire unit cools the room quickly (300 sq ft) and has an easy-to-use remote. One suggestion: The installers did not remove the tape holding the front panel on, so when I went to check the filter I couldn't open the panel at first. Try using tape of a contrasting color for shipping purposes so it's easy to see that it's still on.

Over the years, we have used several other makes & models of air conditioners but we are most pleased with our Frigidaire. It's efficient in cooling down our bedroom even on the hottest/most humid days.

Had several through the wall units. Other brands fail after 2-3 years. These Frigidaire units last longer. No failures over last 8 years with 3 units.

I purchased 2 of these air conditioners put one in the master bedroom and one in the guest bedroom. we also have a 10,000 BTU in the living room. with all 3 working together on economy my condo stays very cool i southern Florida

Bought two units but returning one because compressor makes rattling noise. Customer service was good and they arranged to replace the unit. Also unit has setting display lights which are so small that they are very hard to see unless you are up close. The remote gives no indication of settings.

It's everything I wanted. It is the most quietest air conditioner I have ever owned which is a huge plus when trying to sleep with it on. It cools my apartment beautifully. I found it easy to figure out and it was easy to install. I am very happy with my purchase.

This is our 4th Frigidaire air conditioner in the past 25 years. We currently have a large one downstairs that replaced a 12 year old Frigidaire, and this one upstairs in our bedroom. This one just replaced a 15 year old Frigidaire that still works, but a few weeks ago, it made a groaning sound, and the compressor did not kick on. After waiting a while, the compressor did kick on, and it continued working, but we wanted to replace it before it went completely out since it was so old, and we really need one in the upstairs bedroom. This one is much quieter and works perfectly to keep our bedroom cool at night. I will never hesitate to recommend Frigidaire to anyone needing an air conditioner!

I have central A/C in my house but have this wall unit in my bedroom to save electricity. I live alone so I turn the central A/C off when I go to bed and then turn on the Frigidaire unit. It works very well and appears to be of a much better quality than most other brands. I hope it lasts for a long time.

The a/c cools very quickly and is fairly quiet. I prefer to use it with the remote sensing feature where the unit will cool until the temp on the remote matches what you set on the unit. I find it much more accurate and works better with eco function. The ionizer is a nice touch, but not sure if I can tell the difference. I am very pleased with this unit and Frigidaire™™s overall reputation and customer care.

The condenser turns on at its on discretion and maybe blows chilled air a fraction of the time. Really disappointed™¦ they™™re sending me new units. Both were brand new units™¦

Works perfectly, but... it is a wee bit loud as it goes on and off in auto mode. Doesn't bother me (or my kid) while I sleep, but might bother some -- can leave it on continuously to solve the problem, and this would not keep me from getting this machine . Between auto mode and eco, it is clear this is an energy saving machine, and the added bonus of remote sensing makes sure it is keyed to the appropriate part of the room.

The unit was easy to install in existing sleeve, I had to use some weatherstripping as it was smaller than the sleeve. I then added styrofoam along the gaps and caulked the rest; neat and clean with a good seal. The air conditioner replaced a 2 year old lemon from Whirlpool, and it did a great job of cooling the room quickly. The remote sensing is very good, it utilizes the temperature on the remote to adjust the room temperature. I like it better than having the sensor near the conditioner coil to determine how long to stay on. I like the trim it comes with to hide the edges of the sleeve, very nice touch. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Purchased from PC Richard™™s. I had them measure the room for correct BTU and then had them do the install, just to be sure. I only put it on at night, but it NEVER cools down the room. Doesn™™t matter what combination of settings I use. And this is unreturnable at the store so now I™™m left with a metal box. Maybe I™™ll use it in the Winter to warm up the room. For light sleepers, the unit might be a problem as it™™s loud.
