We replaced a 15-year-old GE profile gas range with this Frigidaire cooktop. We absolutely love it, the build quality is far superior and the burners are significantly more powerful. Love the front burners as it gave us much more real estate to cook with verse the side potioned burners that we had.

Purchased all new appliances for my kitchen 1 year ago, if that, and already having issues with left knob of cooktop. Knob began getting stuck and hard to turn a few months ago, and on 12/23/21 stayed stuck in the on position and does not turn off. Only way to turn the burner on and off is by closing the gas valve under the cooktop. A plumber has warned me that if cooktop is not repaired soon, next issue I am going to have is a leaking gas valve as they are not meant to be turned off and on regularly. Upon reading other reviews, apparently this is a common issue with this cooktop model. I reached out to Frigidaire (1800-374-4432) however they are closed for the holidays. It does not state when the will return. Very disappointed.

I had a couple of grate issues right off the bat (broken, incorrect grate replaced, etc--essentially shipping orders, I think). This company really stands behind its products and provides thorough service in a friendly, rapid manner! KUDOS. This replaced an electric cook top in the 1945 home we recently bought. My use has been limited, but so far it performs like a dream! Excellent layout. My only concern is the fact the grates are open-sided, potentially allowing anything placed near the cook top to be a hazard.

This cooktop is really cool. I love that it has 3 different sizes of burners. And the extra large burner in the center is perfect for huge canning pots. I have found the griddle to be very handy for hash browns, grilled cheese, pancakes, and tortillas. It looks nice and is very practical.

I liked the look of the cooktop until I realized how easy the thing scrathes. I have had it less than 2 years and the burner grates are rusting. They are very expensive to replace. I would be better off buying a new cooktop. All my Frigidare appliances are new and I have had something wrong with each one of them.

Great Cooktop

We bought our Frigidaire cooktop to replace an older cooktop that was in the home when we bought it and that we were really unhappy with. The Frigidaire cooktop is so much better and we are really happy with it, especially the center burner. The new unit fit nicely into the granite cutout for the old cooktop and the new unit looks good in the kitchen. The controls are very easy to use and allows us to adjust the flame to just the amount of flame we want. We look forward to many years of great service from our new cooktop.

We purchased our cooktop back in March after going with only two working burners for a couple of months. We weighed this 5 burner offering against a few lesser name brands that came in at a cheaper price point. However, Amazon gave a price a bit less than many big box stores and most of the reviews helped us nail this down. I installed it myself....it fit perfectly, and we have found it to be very reliable and that big burner really does the job. no problems with scratches....just be diligent not to allow food spills to dry where the burners are. very happy with our purchase.

First issue: the right grate came broken. It was however replaced without any question. It however begs the question of why this broke. Customer service was great getting my replacement part. 2nd issue: I had a professional installer do the install and he complained it was hard to install it with some parts missing that he ended up getting at a local hardware storeOverall: really nice! We have had the cook top 1 month and seems very nice so far. Installation was a drop in, and replaced a aging GE profile cook top. Knobs are nice and sturdy compared to GE. The large center burner is powerful. The griddle seems nice and heavy as are the grates. It sits a little higher than others , but this is not a big issue for us. So far so good!!

Happy with cook top so far. Have it a 4 because of the placement of a care sticker in the middle of range. Took hours to remove it in an effort not to scratch the stainless steel. Originally thought it was suppose to stay on the stainless steel, however after first use sticker slightly melted. Not sure why they would place it where they did.
