Freezer is unusable

We bought this fridge a few years ago and since day one it's impossible to keep the freezer rails in alignment. This means that there is constantly a gap, resulting in a lack of seal, so we always have "snow" all over everything in our freezer. I'll realign the rails, which will work for a day, and then they will come out of alignment again no matter how careful we are.We've tried logging cases asking if there is anything that can be done but it appears that nobody actually responds to cases logged through the website, so there's that as well.The fridge portion has been great, it's too bad it's attached to the freezer. Unless we can find a solution this will be a 3 year old fridge that we put out to the curb and just never buy Frigidaire again. Too bad, the fridge is really nice

Frigidaire lives up to their reputation! Purchased 12/14 after extensive research this is the only counter depth, french door fridge that offers smudge proof stainless steel. I love it!! The interior compartments offer convenient areas for veggies,fruits large pull out drawer for platters and side doors have multiple compartments for condiments. Door compartments and glass shelves are all adjustable. I open the french doors and all food items are at eye level. The freezer is great too. The unit is on wheels and glides out so easy...no more sitting on the floor to make adjustments for wheels to move. I was so impressed with Frigidaire that I purchased their smudge proof stainless steel dishwasher too. Very Happy Customer.

Clearly this is not an inexpensive refrigerator and it did work, for 2 months AND we are starting week 3 of waiting for a repair. It has been a ridiculous experience. I will say the smudge proof is a great feature and is definitely better than usual stainless steel. It's just too bad the fridge doesn't work. Freezer good. UGH!

This fridge has an attractive smudge-resistant finish and the counter-depth dimensions help enlarge my small kitchen. The bottom cool drawer in the fridge is much colder than the rest of the fridge. It ends up freezing my vegetables or meat, so it is best just for cheese or deli items. As a result, it ends up being mostly unused space, which is unfortunate especially since the fridge has a small capacity to begin with. Also, the chirping condenser noise that comes on occasionally, while not loud, is shrill and jarring. The freezer drawer does seem like it may not hold up over time. Overall, after owning the fridge for a few months, I am pleased with it, given that I needed a counter-depth fridge and it was more affordable than the similar Kitchenaid counter-depth model.

Pros: Lighting is great and temperature seems to stay constant. Door alarm is great with kids in the house.Cons: Quiet except for high pitch chirping noise when condenser runs. Freezer pull out shelve needs better design. Things fall out the back and seems flimsy.

I like the smudge proof finish. The size is perfect; we needed a "counter Depth" fridge. While this is not techically counter depth, it fits nicely into the space we had.

The counter depth option is great, but the fridge in general is too small. I like the lights and the way it looks, however, the freezer drawer feels flimsy, so am extremely cautious when opening and closing it. I don't like the wide "Cool Drawer" because you have to open both doors to access it. It's not very deep, so you're limited to what you can put in there. I would have preferred to have deeper produce drawers instead of the Cool Drawer.

not as good as I hoped

I picked this fridge because of the non-fingerprint stainless steel coating and because the veggie drawers looked wider/larger than many other models. I love the stainless steel, it looks great in my kitchen, matches my other stainless stuff very well, and it doesn't get fingerprints like my old fridge did, so it looks great all the time!Unfortunately, the veggie drawers are not as big as I thought. Even though they take up the whole width of the fridge, then aren't too deep and they angle at the back, so you lose a lot of space.The freezer drawer gliding mechanism is very flimsy and does not work well. Had to have a repairman out to fix it after only 1 month as it would no longer close all the way and the drawer inside was stuck and wouldn't open. My old fridge (which I didn't like either) at least felt much more sturdy as far as the freezer glider mechanism went (we had a bear break in and stand on the thing and it still worked just fine. This Frigidaire would not hold up to a bear standing on the drawer!) Even after having the repair man come and fix the drawer, it is still very flimsy and has broken again (we are learning how to fix it ourselves though).The seal piece that goes between the to upper doors to seal the fridge doesn't always function well either. Sometimes when you open it, the seal part doesn't open all the way, so when you close it, it slams into the other door or misses its track. Kind of annoying and it worries me that it will eventually damage the second door from hitting it all the time. This may not be a problem unique to this fridge because my friend has a different brand and the same thing happens.I have never found a fridge that I actually like, so I don't know if any one would be perfect. I certainly don't think this one is worth the high price tag. I would expect more from their high-end "professional" line. I definitely would make sure you buy the extra service warranty package for this fridge or you will be sorry!
