Heat/Cooling Unit

I recently had the GE Heat/Cooling unit installed. It was easy and took only 1 hour to install. So far the heat unit is working wonderfully. Our temperature is going to drop to 30 degrees tonite and I am confident I will be warm and toasty.

Failed after 3 years, not as good as previous unit

This unit was installed in 2017. Failed after 3 years similar to problem KSMATT reported. Unit would randomly switch modes heat cool fan (never off), and would not respond to attempts to change Temperature setting. Would not go into emergency heat mode for winter. Previously had an Amana and Carrier PTAC units. Amana unit lasted 6 years, carrier 15 years, Ge 3 years. Going with same GE only because dealer knocked about $500 off of price because it failed for non warranty items

Just Installed

This is the 3rd Zoneline I have purchased dating back about 10 years. I just replaced my 2nd model today and haven't had a lot of time to evaluate its performance. So far so Good. I had to purchase a new LCDI cord because the old one did not fit the new model. The old model slid right out and the new one slide right in after a little coaxing. As with the previous 2 models, the guidance regarding the setting of auxiliary controls is a little confusing to this old man so I just left them on the factory default. Its a little louder than I would prefer but not so much that I'll notice it. Now I'll let it do its job and see how well it handles the below freezing temperatures we are experiencing.

Excellent replacement / upgrade

Replaced an older GE PTAC with this GE UNIT. Perfect fit and matched up perfectly with all the existing hardware and a wall thermostat that i had previously installed earlier in the year. The new unit is much quieter and seems to be heating the area more effectively. True efficiency will be measured after a full year in use as i compare the utility cost through both heating and cooling seasons.

Great Unit / My electric bill didn't take a big hi

The unit works very well. Does a great job of heating/cooling the sunroom. We usually turn it on in the AM and off overnight. It heats and cools the room rapidly.
