Filter stopped filtering out chlorine taste

I've been using a GE reverse osmosis system for years but decided to get the single under-the-sink filter system (GXULQK). It worked well but after two months the chlorine taste is back. I bought an extra filter so at the six month time I could replace the existing filter. I am going to change out the filter now and see what happens.
