Very nice cooktop. This is our second one. Only reason we replaced the old one was due to wife dropping a cast iron skillet on it and cracking the top glass. Easy to install. Easy to use. Nice unit with the stainless trim and knobs.

GE burner is good buy

So far so good, we like this cooktop. It replaced a Bosch which was always a problem, shut down every time water spilled on surface. And was all touch buttons, which is annoying . This one has knobs which can easily be adjusted in whatever increments you desire . And liquid spills does not shut down the burners. It™€™s stainless and looks good and is cheaper too.

The stove top works great. Although it has 5 burners you are only able to use a couple at one time because of the closeness and pans not fitting the space. We thought the knobs in front center would be a nice feature, but they are the way for cleaning and moving pans around.

Updated Cooktop and Satisfied with Replacement

This cooktop replaced our previous cooktop, which had a broken glasstop. Customer Service helped me find a matching cooktop with similar specifications as the broken one. Delivery came same date as requested, and I was notified prior to arrival. Setup was quick and cook top worked better than our previous one.

I replaced a 6 year GE Profile cooktop with this one since it was he only one I could find that fit the hole in my granite countertop. That one suffered the same as this one in that the "Power Boil" dual element burner stopped working. That on lasted about 3-4 years and I replaced it once but it stopped again after a year or so. Then another burner stopped working so we decided to replace the whole unit with this new one. Unfortunately, GE appliances aren't very reliable and the same "Power Boil" burner stopped working whilst I was making Christmas dinner. The unit is only 2 months old. The "Hot" light also was bad, staying on all the time and that happened after a week or two. Now I'm faced with the circle fight for getting it repaired which will likely be more inconvenient than if it had burned down my house.

Replace GE Profile Cooktop

I got the JEP5030STSS as a replacement for a 20 years old GE profile that it would cost too much to repair. This one has the five burner which I liked. I also like how the large burner is in the middle so all the steam from cooking get exhaust with the fan above it.

Excellent replacement for my previous GE stovetop

I am very pleased with my GE electric stovetop this far. I replaced a similar older model that also worked great, but i broke the glass! This model with a metal outer frame looks great and will hopefully hold up better, though I promised it I will not use a meat mallet anywhere close to it ever again!

This is the second cooktop. The first on was chipped. The replacement one is difficult to cook on. The burners go off and on. the top is discolored and I can not remove spilled food on it. Would not ever recommend this. I hate to use it. So difficult to clean.

Unable to clean after first use.

Purchased popular special cleaner for cooktop. Used product as instructed before first use. Cooktop has marks where skillet sat during cooking. Cleaned cooktop after cooling for 18 hours, marks will not come clean. Not burnt food, but cooktop no longer looks new after 3 times use. This is my first smooth top cooktop, 60 year old cooktop looked good at 30 years.

The days of drips and spills in the drip tray and the unit housing are gone! The glass cooktop is so much better looking than my old coil unit. The elements heat up so fast and the power boil feature is amazing. The five heating units streamline cooking time so much. I love the look of the dark glass combined with the stainless steel.
