The stove top heats quickly and evenly and is easy to adjust the temperature. I have only been using it a couple weeks so still getting use to the features. The only complaint I have is that after every use there are dark areas that need to be cleaned. However, it is also very easy to clean using a baking soda paste. I am overall pleased with it.

Photos of cooktop on Lowes website are misleading - they show that one of the 8" burners has 2 separate heating areas (inner, entire element). Photos on GE website are accurate.

The burner seemed very small, but the heat radiates beyond the circle so it should be enough, but it would be nicer if there was one larger burner from my super big pots. I guess I should™™ve gotten a 36 inch cooktop instead of the 30. The installation of the stove top was a little confusing. We didn™™t know if we should just use silicon to adhere it to the countertop or the provided brackets and cushion. I went with the cushion because I was afraid that that glass top cooktop against the quartz countertop might grind and break the glass cooktop. But I really didn™™t want to put holes in the bottom of my countertop to secure the brackets. I guess you gotta take the best of two evils. It looks really nice in my kitchen. I am worried about scratching and scuffing up the white surface with my cast-iron skillets. I™™m hoping that will come off with ceramic polish?

It is very difficult to clean the glass surface of the cooktop. This is a brand new appliance, but the quality is as poor as the one I have used for 10 years. I am very very disappoint. Unfortunately it was paid for by my association, I had no choice.

Installed on July 4, 2025, when in use we did not pay attention on hot surface lights till, next morning; the top right surface light did not go off and kept stay on all time, we used this cooktop in the morning and now second light stayed on (this is brand new cooktop), and it should not have any kin this malfunction) I would like to have a replacement dual to the defective.

The cooktop came in a day later, but it was OK. In 1 day the hot surface on one element stayed on and never turned off, even the next day was still on. Yesterday two days after installation left rear burner quit working.

Love the look and operation of the cooktop. Only complaint is the surface is NOT a true 30" width. Had to purchase the GE trim kit/frame that hides the counter top gaps. The extra half inch would've avoided the extra $100 trim piece. And of course cooktop had to be uninstalled to add the trim.

I love the cooktop but it was only installed 6 moths ago and one of the lights that tells you one if the burners is still hot is not working properly it stays lit for days

I ordered the cooktop to replace one that I had used for over 11 years. The delivery was put off for a week. Then we received it on 12/08/24. We installed it and wired up and turned on all burners to test and all was good. Later on that day I used the burner to make tea. The indicator light ,for the hot surface, is still on. Very disappointed with that. Called to see about returning it to Lowe's. Was told return window was 48 hours. Unacceptable. Tried to do a pickup and delivery of new one to replace , then was told the cooktop was unavailable. Called GE helpline. was told to turn breaker off then back on and maybe would get reset. That didn't happen. Very frustrated because it is a new cooktop and was not able to return or get a satisfactory solution.

I™™m very pleased with my new GE cooktop. This is the second glass cooktop I have owned. I especially like the specialty burners. The two power boil burners bring a large pot of water to boil quickly, the keep warm burner holds food at just the right temperature and the melt burner works perfectly for melting foods like chocolate and cheese. I recommend this cooktop.

Very clean appearance and easy surface to clean. I have only used it three times, but so far so good. I like the displays for burner in use and those that are cooling down. The only thing I would like to be different so far is for the temperature indicators around the control knob to be darker for easier visibility and a clearer indicator of medium and low. Otherwise, it is just a matter of learning and adapting.
