This dishwasher was provided by the builder of our house in April 2018. I would definitely not recommend this dishwasher. It does not clean dishes very well and does not dry dishes completely even on the "power wash" mode. We had a GE certified technician come out in 2019 for a repair and the technician indicated there was nothing she could do. She advised us to keep the dishwasher rinse aid compartment full. Huh???

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever used. The controls are incomprehensible. It never latches. It often doesn't start. Sometimes tripping the breaker resets and it works; sometimes it doesn't. When it does start, it often won't clean dishes properly. Garbage

Bottom rack rollers are garbage

Day one we had problems with the bottom rack rollers. They fall off off every time we pull out the rack. We find the laying in the bottom of the dishwasher frequently as we pull the rack out and it falls out of track on the door. Very low quality engineering. Dishwashers 20 years ago worked flawlessly. Not impressed GE. GE used to mean quality and longevity, this dishwasher has changed my mind.

Very disappointed in this dishwasher. We™€™ve had it for about 8 months. It barely cleans anything, goes through jet dry at a rate I™€™ve never seen, is undersized on the bottom such that dinner plates barely fit but the absolute worst feature is the filter. Most dishwasher filters you can basically forget they are there. This one needs cleaning weekly or it will start to smell and clog. Plus it sits in standing water between cleaning so it ALWAYS smells. I assumed this was an issue and asked the GE technician and he said it was normal. Replacing it at as soon as I can

We have been very happy with the performance of this dishwasher. It is super quiet and cleans well. We have an open concept living room/kitchen. One of the concerns when purchasing was the noise the dishwasher would make and drowning out the tv or conversations in the living room. When we gave the initial test, you can barely hear the dishwasher running unless it is draining water. It is super quiet and with a good conversation going or a show on, you don™€™t notice the noise at all. It cleans well too. So far it has managed to tackle our nightly dishes. I™€™m not sure how it would perform if dishes are done daily. It does manage to clean baked in glass dishes that our other dishwasher wasn™€™t able to fully clean. Overall a good dishwasher if you™€™re willing to upgrade a little bit over a standard dishwasher.

FIRST- let me say that this dishwasher does an excellent job cleaning dishes. I pre- rinse the dishes. My wife, however, will put anything and everything in to wash. It cleans amazingly well. Second - this dishwasher has been leaking for a long time now. We place containers along the bottom of the door to catch all the water. The door itself has watch i believe is the door insulation cracking and coming out of the door bottom. I have attempted twice to order the recommended gaskets tub has not been the correct gasket. I would love to get this replaced.

I built a new home and selected all GE Profile appliances. This is a retirement home is it was a year 15 months after the house was built before I moved in. After 6 months I used the dishwasher for the first time. When the cycle was complete the dishes were wet as was the inside if the dishwasher. This has happened twice! I will NEVER purchase another GE product. Please don't refer me to a troubleshooting link. Just admit you have an inferior product which is probably why it's no longer being manufactured. I'm now stuck with an expensive hole filler. Make America great again by building quality products!

Upgrade from Our Previous DW

We replaced the dishwasher that came with the house with this GE Profile machine. It is much more modern in appearance and technology. The racks glide smoothly, I like the bottle jet feature, I appreciate being able to reconfigure the utensil baskets and the back lower prongs. It has been user friendly so far. The cycles seem long, but not any longer than our previous machine. I have been using the Light cycle since it seems to be the shortest. We installed this ourselves (two people) without having installed a dishwasher before and it was fairly simple, technically. We didn't have the user manual (purchased a clearance item), but I found a PDF manual online that was helpful. I hope I can keep the stainless clean.

We have had this dishwasher for about 3 months, it is quiet, seems to do a great job of cleaning the dishes. So far I am not seeing water marks on our glassware. We are happy with our choice to buy this dishwasher. The only thing that I wish I had considered are the watermarks and handprints on the stainless steel -- it's challenging to keep the face of the dishwasher looking nice.

We are thrilled with the way this machine works. The controls are sleek and not gadgety, the available options, like half-load wash (top or bottom), delay wash, not to mention all the loading features. The flatware rack has a dedicated under tray spray, there are bottle wash sprayers, even chopstick clamps. While we wanted a delay timer to avoid the noise of a wash cycle, this unit is SO quiet, we can run it any time and even forget it's running. I have owned four different brands of dishwasher and this is the first one where I have trouble finding fault.

Again, as stated in the title, we loved the dishwasher until it died just ~2 years after installation. A major appliance that costs $500-600 should last longer than that. Disappointing.

Im not happy with this purchase. I opted for this one the Bosch that my husband was pushing me to buy because I was insisting on the bottle jet feature. Once it was delivered I kind of regretted my decision. The dishwasher feels flimsy and I HATE HATE HATE how this dishwasher loads. I loved my last dishwasher - Kenmore Elite. It was so much sturdier and substantial. The drawers on this thing feel cheap as does the door. It feels light like a feather, not like stainless steel. Looks like stainless but feels plasticky. Two things I do like are the bottle jets and how well it cleans but again, loading it is a mission, nothing stays in place. I wish I had been able to see it in person before buying. I don't think I would have bought it had I been able to handle it a little in showroom. But I needed a dishwasher and I'm in a COVID-19 ground zero area so I wasn't about to go shopping in a store at the time.

The biggest issue with this unit is that the latch mechanism is very flimsy and the door struggles to lock in place. That said, once you actually manage to close the door, it cleans dishes quite well.

Works great and is quietest ever. Sometimes don™€™t even realize it is on. Only bad thing is the racks. The upper rack tines are too narrow so won™€™t hold up glasses. Glasses and cups will only fit in two outer sides. Other than that it is great.

Still leaks from door despite multiple repairs

Unit installed 12/3/18. 3 repair visits within the 1 year warranty period for water leaking from door. Door gasket has been replaced. Now 6 months after the most recent repair, water again leaking from door. Have to leave an old yogurt cup under the dishwasher door to catch the water leak, otherwise there will be a small puddle on the floor in the morning. Dishwasher stainless steel door is also starting to rust.

I love all the different ways to customize each wash cycle, from turning the bottle jets on and off, to adjusting the wash temperature, to turning the heated drying on and off. Even the silverware caddies can be taken in and out to add space or support, depending on what you need for each individual wash cycle. So far, my dishes have all come out clean and pretty, and I am pleased!
