We've had our microwave/oven combo for about 6 years now and about a year ago, the microwave platform stopped turning. It was annoying, but didnt really affect performance because I could always just open the microwave up and stir my food. I figured it wasnt worth the likely $300 repair charge just to fix something so small. Just recently, the heating element has also completely stopped working.
I called a local, whirlpool certified appliance repair company that came out and replaced all of the major internals - door switches, control board, magnetron, etc and no luck, the microwave still doesn't work. The repair tech recommended I contact whirlpool to see if they had any other recommendations as he didnt know what else to do. The company was great and ate the cost of everything because he couldn't get it to work.
Whirlpool first recommended I set an appt with the same company that I had already spoken to and then they recommended I buy a completely new unit plus an extended warranty.
I guess that is what I have to do, but it 100% will not be a whirlpool.

Microwave doesn't work. After a couple of seconds, it stops working. It has multiple error codes F1E5 and F6E0, A technician attempted to fix the problems by replacing an appliance manager, a control board, an inverter, and a magnetron , but still the microwave doesn't work. He told me that only option left is to check the wire and a bracket, which will cost a thousand dollars and even no guarantee to fix the problem.

Bought this item at Lowes and thought it would be a great addition to our new kitchen and everything was great for about 6 months then the microwave unit started to malfunction. I am in the military and gone a lot and my wife had no clue who to contact. What the issue is that the microwave will only heat a little. It may warm up something small, like a cup of coffee but will not heat up your average dinner plate. But even with heating up a cup of coffee it would only get it warm. Not sure what to do at this point. We have a lot of money tied up into this unit and it fails to perform to standard. With me being gone a lot with the military it is hard to get things taken care of at home. Anyway, any assistance from Whirlpool would greatly be appreciated.

Looked good for about 3 months (paid extra as this was a builder upgrade) Now there is a leak in the microwave glass and Whirlpool says cosmetic and won't fix it? Lower oven takes 5 hours to clean (are you kidding me?) and then still dirty. This is NOT a self cleaning oven! The control panel gets dirty quickly and at times doesn't work. Called whirlpool service and again they told me cosmetic and they don't fix that. What do they fix? I paid quite a bit for this "upgrade" and would take back my old house's 10 year old GE double wall ovens and high end Profile microwave in a heart beat. Take forever to preheat and while cooking never holds a true temperature. Microwave has NO bacon setting????

2/24/2017 I purchased a new home and the Microwave and Oven came with my chefs kitchen. The oven cannot hold a steady temperature it will be the third time having the oven repaired once they changed the temperature controls didn't work, next changed the thermostat, same problem, now the want to change the main control. Worst customer Service and as far as Whirlpool they just want to keep replacing parts instead of replacing the oven. Do not buy this unit unless you want a constant headache. Whirlpool = trash.

Oven failed warming up in the first week of using it, having to go through calling the customer care which is a nightmare and schedule a appointment and have to take off 2 days for the technician to diagnose and fix it. Wouldn't recommend this product.

Be aware this microwave unit is under powered. Most food require more time than a standard 1100 Watt microwave. Popcorn in a bag will work, but using a microwave popcorn container will result in soft popcorn.
Oven needed to be adjusted. It doesn't hold temperature very accurately. It can be off by 20 degrees (low).

We had the 20 year old version of this model. This new one is great. It is so quiet we don't even notice it is on. We have the opposite reaction than these other reviews. It's lkke having a ghost oven. It works so well too. Even the microwave works faster and better than our older version. Overall we are extremely happy. We even put it in ourselves and had zero problems. It was the easiest appliance installation ever.

I am shocked by all the positive reviews for this product - the oven fan makes an extremely loud and annoying noise. I have to leave the door open and pray that it cools down soon. But at least it works. The microwave broke down within 11 months of use. It would stop counting down and heating the food. I called whirlpool warranty and they sent somebody over to take a look - microwave behaved well in front of the technician. Whirlpool refused to pay for the technician's visit because 'no problem found'. Lo and behold, the microwave stopped working again - I am having somebody come in and look at it again. The question is - will whirlpool warranty pay for the repair?
How can a unit that cost over 2k break down within a year? Literally stopped working and heating food? And now Whirlpool does not want to take responsibility for this. So very disappointed in the customer service (or lack of it)

This product was part of our gourmet kitchen package from our builder for our new condo. We've been using it for over a month and really like all of the features. I really like the way the oven looks, but as I am using it, I am finding looks are deceiving. First of all, it is awful at retaining fingerprints, to the point that EVERY time I use the microwave I have to clean the number pad afterward. Secondly, you can't press the "1" and have the microwave turn on at high for 1 minute. You have to hit "1+0+0" and press start. The lower oven and microwave share the number pad so if you start the oven and then want to heat something in the microwave, it is too easy to accidentally change the oven temperature if you attempt to use the number pad for the microwave without first touching "Cook Time/Power." My old oven/microwave combination was also a Whirlpool but it was so much more user friendly.

Microwave regarding weights and types of food. The oven is easily calibrated for temperature and I'm looking forward to using the delay start and end feature.

This appliance came with our new home. We have only been in the home for a little over a month. This appliance combination has a new look. Microwave has been everything I would expect. However, the oven temperature seems to fluctuate greatly. Had the oven at 400 degrees and immediately after cooking an item have reset the oven to 350 degrees for next item to have the oven indicate that it was at low 300s. I would not expect to wait to preheat an oven for lower temperatures after cooking something at a higher temperature. Will continue to try before making a warranty claim.

I bought this oven in December. It works great but I had to spend extra money for the installation. The old Whirlpool was taller than the new one. I had to order a filler for the cabinet which cost me $77.00. I was wondering why the size was changed.
