Dont buy an LG refrigerator. Their linear compressor is junk. Only lasted 5 years for me. No one around wants to work on them because they dont get paid for the warranty work. You just get the run around by LG customer service. Cost me $1200 to repair after deciding the aggravation was not worth it. Not ever buying another LG product.

I do like this refrigerator. However the compressor quit not once but twice. Yes we did get it replace as refrigerator was under warranty but lived out of coolers for 12 days. Lost most everything in the refrigerator and spent $150 on ice. LG offered us $150 for the food loss. The warranty says it can be up to $300. Sent us an email saying to get the $150 click here. Nothing happened. We tried to call the warranty people they knew nothing. The number to call for help was 800-123-4567. Of course that was a fabrication No such number. Terrible customer service. I dont care about the $150 after trying several times to get it. They just stonewall you again and again I will never buy anything LG ever again.

My refrigerator and freezer still not working.

The technician received the new compressor that you LG manufacturing posted to him and he came to my home and replaced the compressor but the refrigerator is not still working properly. The freezer doesnt get cold enough. The technician came and test the refrigerator and freezer and told that we have to change the condenser fan and control panel.

Good size. The Refrigerator Doors are a bit wonky and they dont always latch correctly. Our original Compressor last us 4 years before it crapped out. The replacement Compressor lasted 2 years and needs to be replaced. We never use the wi-fi capabilities.

Ok you asked. Truly I like this refrigerator. However.. two years ago it just quit.. dead..nothing. Three days later a warranty person came out and said it was the compressor. It started working without any repair the next day. Great Last month it quit. Took two weeks living out of coolers but got a new compressor. I still like it but what a pain. Lost everything in it still waiting for the $150 replacement cost. It was considerably more than that and LG should have paid us the $300. Did not make a claim the first time this happened.

RIP LG refrigerator

I bought this in June 2018. It was great while it lasted. It just stop working on May 242024. After several attempts to repair it we had no choice but to put it to rest and purchase a replacement. It only lasted 5 years. We had almost 4 weeks without a refrigerator and lost hundreds in food. Shame on LG.

I have the same refrigerator and have only had this refrigerator for 5 years and the compressor just went out 2 days ago. I hear that it is under warranty I am having issues with a technician from LG gettting out to my house. I have lost about $500.00 in found when they get out to my house it will be a week. I had to purchase a small $300 refrigerator just to get by. I dont have this kind of $$ to spend when you are living pay check to pay check and I was told that the compressor is under warranty but if other parts are needed we will have to pay for them. This is such crap considering the money we have already lost- leading up to this i was an LG fan- but never again will I buy an LG product. I have read that LG purposely put a small compressor in these units to get the small shelf life. Extremely Frustrated

This is the worst refrigerator. Bought in 2017. Never worked. Had many repairs and finally replaced in 2018. Still never kept good temps. In 2023 the compressor went out. Replaced compressor and evaporator coil and here we are a year later and out again. They will cover compressor but not labor which in our area is too expensive so will be looking for a new brand and will never buy another LG product. Looking into joining the lawsuit against them.

THE REPAIR MAN HAS BEEN HERE 3 TIMES. On the last visit I needed the invoice to tell the reason for the repairs. this should have been on the work order but it was not and I cant get my insurance co to pay off until I lget this information. nobody will give this to me. The compressor went bad after 6 years. The first repair man said there were holes in the line which cause it to go bad. For repairs I had to call a LG repairman and they will not give me this information.

I bought this just over 5 years ago. The compressor went out after 5 years and 3 months. There is a bis sticker on the door that says 10 year Linear Compressor Warranty but that only covers the parts for a certified technician not the labor. Not a big deal except nobody around Colorado springs will do the repairs for less than $1000. 90 of the repair shops here refuse to service LG refrigerators.

Ok. The drawers are light weight. I dropped a stick of butter from a shelf and it cracked a drawer. Also after just 6 years the compressor went bad. LG would replace the compressor but labor was 600 to 1100 for labor. Instead of replacing it I just replaced the refrigerator itself.

Terrible compressor warrenty

Bought it 5 and a half years ago. Compressor went out 3 months after warranty went out. Compressor is part of a class action lawsuit so the part is free but labor to replace compressor is $800 that I have to pay for

Great refrigerator until the compressor quit. I contracted 2 repairmen and both said Go buy a new one. Anything but an LG. They have a history of compressor failures. If the company would replace the compressor it will be $700 to $800 to have on installed .

Horrible quality. Fridge broke 1 day before warranty ended. Then started loosing power on year 5 and LG said good luck your out of warranty nothing we can do. Horrible customer service. LG for me is Never again

LG doesnt stand by there warrantys

I bought 4.5 years ago. The compressor has went out. I contacted LG and they have given me the run around as its still in warranty.. its been 12 days they still havent sent anyone to look at it.. I called places to get it fixed myself but theyve all told me its about $3000 to replace. Its 6 days before thanksgiving. LG customer service is horrible.

Weve had the refrigerator 5 years and the compressor stopped working. So in 5 years we have spent over 5000k on the poor quality appliance. I know I will not have a chance to win a $500 gift due to an actual rating of 2 stars. But it is an honest review.

Excellent Refrigerator Great customer service

We bought this refrigerator 4 years ago and really have enjoyed all the great features. The auto ice and water on the front makes it easy to get a fresh glass of water or ice up for another drink. The door on the right has an option of opening to a quick need area where we store things we use frequently and can access without opening the door to the refrigerator itself saving time and energy. Roomy on the inside and the freezer is the perfect size for our family. The compressor unit just recently went out and was covered under warranty LG warranty service center was great to work with and sent us a very knowledgeable service man who got us up and running and showed us some of the features we were unaware of. I have to say Mike the service guy was Awesome. Thank You LG for the great appliance and wonderful service. Kirk

big and easy but noisy

we enjoyed the spaciousness of the freezer and the organizational options the product provides. the filters are easy to change and i like the feedback the product provides like when to change the filters. if it was a little less noisy especially at night it would have gotten a 5 star rating.

Beware the LG brand

This very expensive refrigerator is 5 years old and the compressor stopped working. Additionally it has already had one repair to the ice maker. Also purchased at the same time was an LG dishwasher. The entire board went out and it had to be replaced. I have been very discouraged with this brand and I do not recommend it.

We have had our new Fridge for some time now. I enjoy every feature it has. Even though I have ice and water I wish I would have gotten a second ice maker in the freezer. Still service was great when i had one issue. Thank you for your support.
