Horrible purchase

FrustratedJMM 8/24/2024

What a horrible purchase I will never purchase a LG washer again. This pedestal sidekick has so many problems. I will never purchase an appliance at Lowes again as the additional insurance was not helpful. It has torn up my clothes. There is always water underneath the drum so it gets stinky. Theres only one Appliance company that asurion insurance uses in Denver Metro and they just said the water was supposed to be in there and that it worked fine even though they couldnt answer why it tears up my clothes.

The washer is good and its nice to have an additional small load area to wash in. But it keeps sliding back into the drawer doesnt stay open. I have to hold it there w a hand and awkwardly put in the clothes

Convenient when it worked

Lw360 1/29/2023

I bought this 5 months ago and was nice for additional washer but then stopped working due to the door failing to close properly. Contacted LG to get repaired since within warranty but lengthy process and have not gotten approved yet. If I could go back and change things I would have just gotten a second larger washing machine then spend money on the sidekick washer.

Great until it breaks

MikeU64 9/7/2022

We loved the LG Sidekick until it started leaking. None of the LG authorized service companies in the area will even come and look at it. There are no LG technicians available in our part of Florida Tampa Bay. In the end after around 1 hour with LG they said call a AE Factory service a nationwide company who have appalling reviews and they could not come for 4 weeks. It should be sold with a warning that you wont be able to repair it quickly and may spend hours trying to find someone who will repair it.

Cant use/Water drain issue/Terrible Customer Svc

JohnH2 12/8/2021

I wish I hadnt ordered from this site. Id like to tell you that this washer was great. But I cant when I test ran the sidekick washer the water from the pedestal washer drains into the top washer above it. So I cant use the pedestal washer. Now a month after it was installed I still cant use it because of several delays with the technicians who are supposed to support it. The customer support line is unhelpful as they keep gathering information and then transfering me to someone else who cannot help...very frustrating. My next and hopefully final tech appt is next week. If that doesnt resolve the problem I am going to tell them to pick up the appliances and return the full price.

KYDad 9/8/2021

We needed an addition to our regular washer that would allow very small loads. More importantly we wanted hand-wash features for extremely delicate clothing. The pedestal washer saves us from having extremely small loads sitting and waiting in the laundry room. And without it wed resort to a lot of hand washing again.

Love the 5 0 washer 9/8/2021

I thought the sidekick would be a time saver and save the washer for the large loads. Not so it takes almost 39 min to do a small wash load. The washer will do a small wash in 15 minutes and you can add the soap and fabric softener in a pull out try. The sidekick you have to pour in the soap and aawait for a chime to add the softener.

Bought this LG Sidekick during July 4 sales and couldnt be more pleased. Easy to use with at least 6 cycle options. Never need to run a full size washer again for the small loads that I often have. It saves water and time as I dont have to wait any more for a full load to wash.
