Door wont stay shut

Going on 6 years of ownership and more often than not my chosen cycle will briefly start and then turn itself completely off. So when I return to the laundryroom and open the washing machine door I find my items slightly damp but not washed. When I hang around for a while I notice I need to shut the door twice to initiate a full complete cycle. BIG PAIN

Why did it break?

This is a 5-6 year old machine. Were not a fan of the front load machine due to the upkeep and cleaning we have to do on it. But then it just broke one day. There was no explanation for it at all. The LG approved repairperson did not leave an invoice for the repair- no explanation.

We have had LG washer and Dryer for about 5 years now and it is still running as brand new. LG machine has different options and each selection effectively cleans your laundry and special technology feature also ensures clothes are cared for. I personally enjoy steam cotton speed washes for everyday laundry needs. I have washed several of my hand wash clothing in delicate mode and never had a problem or worry about ruining my fancy outfits. Best experience LG is a keeper.

Adolph was very knowledgeable regarding the issue with my washer and was able to show me what the problem was and that by me pulling the washer hose up out of the hose filter I had helped correct the issue. I dont always like the length of the wash cycles.

Great washing machine poorly installed

I have had this washer for a few years. It does a fantastic job washing clothes. I do wish it would sync with an iPhone. One small issue I had was a constant smell. I would use bleach and tide washing machine cleaner but the smell would come back. I adjusted the drain hose because it was more than 4 inches below the plastic arch piece. That solved the smell Hope that helps someone else.

Very quiet except when water drains. Overall pleased but tines on bottom rack unhooks too easily compared to my old dishwasher. Also wish the smooth sleek appearance didnt have a 10 yr drive warranty label on it in which I asked how to remove it. LG said I would mess up the finish doing so.

After using this machine for 3 1/2 years now I am pleased to say this is the best washer that I have ever purchased The run times are longer than my older machines but far more efficient washing. There are multiple settings so there is something for every one. One has to remember that due to the washer being extremely efficient one must use very little soap A plus for the pocketbook This washer can handle heavy duty washing with a breeze and the load size is adequate for big loads.The load sensing feature is great to manage balancing and water level and helps keep the energy usage low. And lets not forget that steam cycle.... Wow I thought I would never use it but a family member said it might be worth paying a bit extra and giving it a try. Well worth my investment I use this cycle at least once or twice a week for those heavily soiled large loads and they come out looking great I totally love love love this washer and use it every day. I am looking forward to a long life with this washer. I have found LG products reliable and fairly priced and have other LG products in my home. I would definitely purchase this product in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for a front loading washing machine.

They ordered a new seal and were hoping it fixes the problem. Its been a great washer for the past 4 years otherwise. Wish it had an insert for washing shoes..

Been using the new washer for 2 months now and I love it. The controls are easy to use. The capacity is excellent what was 3 loads in my old washer is 2 loads in this one. It is so quiet and stable no shaking items on top at all. I have not used many of the special features but I expect them to be useful and will perform as promised. I also have not set this up to control with an app on my phone but for someone not home all day it would be a good feature to have

The drum is always wobbly and feels loose when spinning. Makes funny and buzzing sounds. I just had it fixed by LG technician last week. He said dont put too much clothes. I put 4 pieces and I can still hear the darn thing wobbling while Im watching tv.

We bought this Washer 3 years ago and it was the best purchase I could have made for my clothes. I have always struggled with clothes shrinking and stretching in the deep tub top loaders not to mention the water usage. I was able to lower my water usage to a lower tier saving more money on water in one year to make up the difference between a regular washer and this nicer more efficient fancy washer.

Never-ending water-logged clothes

Most frustrating worst-performing appliance of any kind we have ever owned in 30 years. Customer service is purposefully unresponsive stonewalling. Weve had this washer for 3 years. It started retaining water after a normal cycle almost right away leaving most clothes soaking wet to the point you can wring them out. Often sudsy even though we use minimal detergent follow all the guidelines use the TubClean cycle etc. Within the warranty period we had 5 separate visits from the authorized retailer PC RIchard to tell us nothing was wrong. We had a separate technician later visit who agreed it does not work well but was dumbfounded what to do. He said LG customer service is the worst and will never help under any circumstances which has proven true. I have never returned any appliance of any kind. But we are going to give/throw this away because of no other option.

Horrible warranty service

Our 15 month old washer broke 11/21 and we have been trying to get it fixed under warranty since there is a service bulletin out on the problem. There is a defective bolt that broke and did extensive damage to the washer. If LG would have spent a few cents on a washer for the bolt this never would have happened. We have been trying to get this fixed and customer service is horrible. At the moment we are waiting 7-10 business days for the resolution dept to come up with a decision. Dont buy LG We posted on Nextdoor and are hearing many horror stories of it taking 4-6 months to get an appliance fixed.

Our washer started to vibrate violently a couple of weeks ago at 2 years and 2 months into ownership. Our repairman confirmed the bearings are shot which repair cost totals the machine. Called LG who claims bearings arent covered by the warranty on the drum and motor. Im interested to see at least one other poster with this same experience. 2 years is an unacceptable life for a washer especially from a company like LG I will also be pursuing this further with the company

It says its stackable but its NOT. When you stack the dryer on top of it which I did the detergent dispenser is no longer accessible. Makes me sick because theres nothing I can do now but use the HE detergent pods. It cost a fortune to get the dryer installed on top of it and theres nothing I can do now. Yep Im just sick about it.

Bearings Failed after 2 Years

The bearings failed after just over 2 years of using this washing machine. It has been a nightmare trying to get LG to recognize that this is an unacceptable level of quality from a washing machine. After over a month of dealing with LG were still dealing with them and it is getting louder and louder after every use. Is it too much to ask for a washing machine to work for at least 5 years? I was expecting 10 or so. 2 is completely unacceptable.

I bought this washing machine and matching dryer in May of 2018. The washing machine itself works great. The problem I have with it is this: The lettering on the front panel is smearing off. I dont use abrasive cleaners on it only a soft cloth. My fear is that in the not too distant future I am not going to know which cycle Im selecting. I have NEVER seen this happen before seems like a design flaw of some sort... I am still trying to have this resolved with the service department.....

Writing wipes off display buttons hard to read

I bought this machine Summer 2018 the writing is coming off the diaplay panel and the buttons. The buttons are already hard to read. I contacted LG and was told it was probably due to CHEMICAL CLEANERS I was using - I dont use chemical cleaners to wipe of the washing machine. I love to use the Delay Wash feature however on this unit there is nothing that would remind you there is wet laundry in the washer. So if you arent close by to hear the signal go off or you start a load and then leave you better remember you started it. Cause there is no LIGHT that stays on saying CLEAN like Ive had on other machines.

I bought this front load washer and matching dryer in the fall of 2018. Since I had used a front loader for the past 20 years I didnt think there would be any surprises. This stacked combo is very noisy vibrates and bounces. Apparently the spin cycles dont get the clothes dry enough because I have water accumulating around the dryer door which then runs down the front of the machine when the door is opened.
