I bought this a few months back and already wishing I had my old washer back. I know it says its efficient but I dont find it efficient if I have to wash clothes twice. I know everyone says we have to save water but washing twice to get clothes clean is NOT saving water. I decided to watch a cycle as it washed. I put the clothes and soap in as normal. Started the washer. It spun around then started water. The water level was really low. Low enough it didnt even get the top clothes wet. It was most of the way through the wash and clothes still dry on top. So those clothes never got washed. Then it went through spin cycle and the rest of the cycles. Next wash I used max wash water. Well that was WAY too much water. So it was a waste of water. Not efficient. My last washer I was in control of how much water went into the washer not the washer. This washer has some good features but its not the wash cycle. Which is what you buy a washing machine for. I have adapted to this washer by waiting until the water is done adding then I stop washer and add at least to a gallon or two more. Big pain in my backside but now my clothes is getting clean.

Can handle a king sized comforter

I purchased this a couple months ago My wife wanted a machine big enough to handle a king sized comforter. This one handles it with no problem It runs quiet washes great and has many different settings. It automatically adjust water level to load size Want more water in the wash theres a button for that. You can even download additional wash setting from an app. I havent tried that yet. Only 1 downfall so far my wife is 52 and needs a step stool to get to the bottom of the drum inside the washer when unloading smaller items like socks.

Ive only had this washer for 2 weeks and its been mostly great. While the tub holds a lot unless I use deep fill I dont think the clothes get enough water to thourghly agitate them. c. Normal just barely cover the clothes and it seems they dont move much. I wish there was an adjustable water level.

Very Disappointing Product

I have had this washer for just over a month and have done at least 12 loads of laundry. Each time there was not sufficient water to properly wash my clothes unless the Deep Fill or Heavy Duty option is selected. The auto sensing feature does not seem to add enough water for washing. I know it is supposed to be a high efficiency model and use less water however to clean clothes you at least have to get them wet. I included a picture of one wash that after 8 minutes of agitating still had dry clothes. I called LG to ask about this and they informed me that this is now the washer is supposed to work. They said that if I wanted the clothes to be wet for washing I would have to override the sensing and use the Deep Fill or Heavy Duty option. This works however it results in wasting lots of water and/or longer washing time. I asked if there was a way to add just a bit more water and was told that an option for this is not available on this model. VERY poor designing in my humble opinion. I would definitely not recommend this model unless you have unlimited water and time to do laundry.

Great washer-Clean clothes

WE installed the LG on Feb. 6. Since then we have had a chance to do gquite a few loads of clothes. Overall this washer has our clothes a lot cleaner than our previous washer. It has also cut down drying time with its much superior spin cycle. We are overall extremely happy with this washer other than the fact it utilizes 2.4g wifi which we cannot use as our house is equipped wifi6 routers and so far I have not been able to reduce the speed of our phones to utilize 2.4ghz instead of 5. Makes a selling feature unusable.

My husband and I did a lot of research before making this purchase. The washer replaced a 17 year old appliance that had an energy star rating but was not HE. Initially I had trouble wrapping my mind around how little water was used fearing that my clothes would be torn. However the more I use the washer the more impressed I am with how clean my clothes are. I love the options and the see-through lid. My only hesitation is how far away from the wall my washer and dryer have to be. My laundry room is narrow and because my washer and dryer have to be about a foot away from the wall my space to load and unload clothes is now much narrower. Maybe this is how all HE washers and dryers have to be now but for me this is a huge drawback.

The technician was very helpful but nowhere in your literature nor did the Technician know that there was a second filter in the washer water inlet connection. that was completely blocked with fine material. I only found it after removing the first filter and looking inside with a flashlight. No info. in troubleshooting.

I spent months researching washing machines. I had no idea they had become so complex Once I decided on LG I knew this was the model I wanted. We have kids so we needed a large capacity washer. I was nervous about going with an agitator but I am glad I did. This washer even with the agitator is HUGE I am able to fit a king sized quilt and sheets in one load with room to spare. Our clothes are coming out clean and smelling great The pre-wash/wash setting is fantastic for cleaning the kids clothes. Highly recommend this one

My only disappointment is that I cant just spin things that Ive washed by hand. May be possible with a smartphone but I dont have one. The tub is also a bit too deep for me. After having the washer since August it is good so far. I do not like the normal wash feature because the clothes gets soak by a little water and tossed around. Therefore I always use the deep fill and deep wash option. The normal wash feature should be used if you want to wash a favorite shirt or five small items. The door has a window while watching the machine operate during the first part of the cycle- sensing it rotates clockwise then counter clockwise. It does it again the. It does a rapid spin to even out the clothes. I am not sure how it would affect the belt in the future - durability of the belt. The only con so far is it does not wring out the winter coats dry when use the water proof cycle Im not sure why. I take out the coats d its dripping. Not sure how to use the spin only feature- didnt reference the manual again. Would update my review if any changes with the washer. At this time it is running well.

Complicated Features for Clothes Washer

Beautiful machine with many features. Works beautifully but it is so hard to override the standard settings and Im a techno geek. What ever happened to simple settings that are manually set? Its also difficult that once you stop a wash mid-stream the settings need to be reset from the beginning. And the inability to add something after you start the wash is tough. I love the capacity the agitator and the way it washes but I find that I always have to set each washing for more water since the settings barely cover the clothing based on the weight measured in the load. So in this case the complexity of the features and the fact that the washer takes control is a detriment for users.
