the double oven is usless because everytime i try to use just the top oven it burns everything because it uses the broil flame even after selecting the bake option. the size of the upper oven places your food to close to the flame causing food to burn. my suggestion to samsung would be to eliminate the bottom storage drawer to make both upper and lower ovens larger. when testing oven temps both upper and lower were not even close to set temp. to make this oven work for anything i had to remove the divider and basically use it as a single oven. and i could have paid alot less for a single oven.
bad design, did not get what i thought i was purchasing.
do not waste your money on this bad samsung oven.

5 days after warranty expires called to get replacment knobs, but to no avail. finish is peeling off. clearly the design of the upper oven leads to this defect, but the customer had to pay for replacement knobs.

today is november 25, 2020. my warranty expired october 31, 2020. while cleaning the stove today, i noticed peeling paint around the door handles and on the face of the stove. 25 days out of warranty! as i went to post my review, i was asked "can we make it right?" i figured, sure maybe they can and started a chat with mahender j. he told me that it was not a warranty issue and would not be covered. ok, i figured as much, but he/she/ they claimed that they do not have any reported issues with peeling paint. i then posted links to the two threads regarding this in the samsung community and was told, "currently, we do not have any options". and then, "we at samsung care are here for you 24/7" and "if you need additional help, ask me anytime." really?!!

while the oven does a great job cooking, the quality of the overall product is bad. i would expect that the touch screen would not have a bulge and lights that do not work. i cannot read all the numbers and the touchscreen is hard to push the right buttons.

We bought this gas range about a year ago, and we are very happy with it. We love the gas cook top, and the griddle - although a little small - works perfectly for morning pancake breakfast for our family! The double oven feature is amazing - it made cooking Thanksgiving dinner a breeze (cooked the turkey in a roaster) last year.
Overall, no complaints come to mind after having it used it for this long.

Just over two years old:
1. Digital display has failed
2. Paint peeling off the front of the unit
3. Top grill grates rusting and flaking apart
4. Front left burner does not distribute flame evenly, thus hot spots or burned pot handles

We have owned the stove for about 3 years and love all the functions, and the fact it's a dual stove which makes cooking very easy. The only reason it lost a star is the fact the internet ability does not work. We were told we would be able to start up the oven via an app but it does not work properly.

the unit does not work as you would think. the ovens are too small and they burn food because they are too close to the burners. after 1.5 years of ownership, the lcd segments are failing on the time display. i have never been so disappointed in an appliance and i am considering throwing the unit out and replacing it.
top oven does not cook evenly burns half of the tray.
bottom oven is too small for a small turkey
top and bottom oven temperatures can only differ by 100 degrees.

Absolutely love my new gas range! In my opinion gas is far superior to electric. With gas you have a quicker response time, i.e., as soon as you turn the gas to low the boiling stops and the simmer begins. The convection oven is amazing and everything is done to perfection! Plus being able to use either the top, bottom or both levels of the oven makes large, or small, family gatherings a breeze. Thanks Samsung!

There are a couple of things that stand out to me. The flexibility of the dual door is key. If I need to cook something big like a turkey, I can. I can also cook items at different temperatures at the same time. The size and variety of the burners is excellent and it lights easily and quickly.

top oven doesn't work so well. pizzas would be burned on top, and cold on the bottom. self-clean broke the oven. it is now locked, we're unable to open it and the controls are blacked out.

I was so excited to purchase the Samsung 5.8 cu. ft. Freestanding Gas Range with Power Burners w/Flex Duo™ dual doors. Unfortunately, after a year, I had to move for work and the stove was sold with my house. How I miss my stove! Losing it made me want to write a review to express how much I love this stove! I would recommend it to anyone. The innovative dual doors makes cooking and baking so easy. It's the greatest feature I never knew I needed. Most of the time I would just cook using the top half of the stove in order to use less gas. Such a great option. Always was great to make large Turkeys and roasts with the roll out rack! It bakes, broils and cooks beautifully. When I baked a cake I was never concerned that it might flow over. My baked goods always rose up perfectly, evenly browned and tasted delicious. The power burner is another favorite feature. It cuts boiling and grilling time. Everything always comes out perfect! I just can't express how happy this stove made me. I have only one issue that I would improve upon and recommend Samsung address. Cleaning the cook top. It's not easy to clean the cook top. It holds onto grease and smears. It takes effort and time, yet still remains smudged. All and all I will consider purchasing another one for my new home!! It's my favorite stove out there!

I would rather throw my money out the window than spend anymore on a Samsung appliance. From day 1 I have either burnt or under cooked everything. Bought a thermometer and it shows that it is not heating to the proper temperature. Called within 30 days, Samsung sent out a tech (that they approved) he claimed it was all ok, even though temp was not up to par. I am now ready to buy a new stove, tonight was the final straw. After "pre heating to 350" I tried cooking pre made cookie dough and the recipe called for 10-12 mintues, after 45 minutes it was still not cooked. So I decided to put my own thermometer in, it said it was only 250, so I raised the temperature. It took over an hour to heat up to 350, even though the stove beeped minutes after I preheated. YOU CAN NOT SCREW UP PRE MADE, PRE CUT COOKIE DOUGH!!!!

We were looking for a black SS range with dual ovens and going from electric to gas. Most were out of our price range but what sold us was the flex duo system. We rented a u-haul and picked up ourselves to save a few bucks - small mistake as this thing weighs a ton and had to get the neighbors over to help get it up the stairs. We had a local HVAC guy install for $75 (saving $100 from store to install). FYI.
We've had it for a week now and cooked Xmas dinner to include turkey, pies, cookies, etc. The good: Love cooking with gas (much faster) though I'm still afraid one of these days our house will blow but that's just me! Love having dual timers and the graphics showing when oven temperature reaches desired level. Range grates easily lift out to clean. Looks awesome in our wooden kitchen. Nice having a lower tray drawer as otherwise the lower oven would be a hassle to bend down to use/see inside (like other dual ovens with no bottom drawer). Lower sliding rack is a welcome feature. The Bad: Upper oven burned two batches of cookies before we read the manual and discovered our racks were too high - have not tried this yet as we are still reading the manual before wasting another batch. Would have been nice to be able to switch convection off if desired. Unable to fit full turkey in lower oven without removing the divider which defeated the dual oven concept. The griddle is too small to do much of anything. The wok holder is nice but not needed as most modern woks have a flat bottom. The black color - definitely a dust/dirt magnet and other than looks is making us miss the standard white appliance color. Lower tray drawer came uneven (right side is noticeably lower than the left) and the oven door rubs against the left when fully opened - we'll see if geek squad will fix. We will not use the wifi with this stove - just don't see the value/safety of hooking a gas stove to the IoT.
So a couple of nits and we are still learning how to use this. But looks nice and cooks well (other than cookies so far). Strongly recommend reading the manual!

This is an excellent over so far. There have been some learning challenges but we're getting there. The top portion is convection even when it shows bake so be careful not to burn things like us. Use the bottom or remove the middle shelf for larger items if you are going to do traditional backing. The stove top is great. Ample space and grates for anything you want to cook!

I bought this in October and it was delivered November 6th and one of the Burners does not work. I called to request a new one and they told me the first day I could get one was December 7th. I requested a repair until the new one was delivered and was denied the service. Do not buy this range, for the money I spent it wasn't worth the stress and headache on a brand new appliance. Samsung better stick to cell phones or make accommodations for their defective items.

I waited so long to replace our old electric stove with a higher quality gas range. I did a lot of research, read reviews and decided on the Flex Duo w/Dual Door Freestanding Gas Range. I have had it for just under a year now and have been very pleased with it especially the dual oven capability. However, I was disappointed when the knob of my power burner broke off. I've looked on the Samsung website for a replacement knob and it is almost $60 for one knob. To make it worse...it looks like it only comes in stainless steel so it won't match my other 4 knobs. So, I thought I had found a work around and took the washer off and was going to just replace the broken plastic adapter with a metal one but nope. Turns out that it's all one piece of plastic. You would think that for the price point that Samsung would have invested a little more into the knobs which are used multiple times a day; everyday of the year.

Have had this for a bit now. So far my only complaint would be that you have to squeeze the handle/button to open the top oven. Seems to me like most people would use the top more often than the bottom, so the button will get pressed more often possibly leading to failure earlier.

Just installed this stove on January 26th so I cannot give it 5 stars since it hasn't been used to capacity. Having said that I am, rather my wife is, very satisfied with the look, finish, BTU, ease of use, ease of cleaning, and features of this stove. Presently we have not used the oven to cook but the warming feature and the top section worked as expected.

I really wanted the slide in model but didn't feel that the extra $1000 was worth having a temp meter and the control knobs up front. I did settle a little in purchasing this product, but was already well over the budget I had for a new stove.
I specifically wanted the Samsung Gas stove because it does offer the ability to still use the range top in the event of a power outage. Several other brands have safety features that do not allow for this ability. I purchased it and received it just prior to Christmas so it got put to the test quickly as I had a lot of baking to do.
Range:The burner controls are backwards from my old stove so I am still getting used to them. It does take a little getting used to the clicking noise made when you turn them on to light them. However I think the knobs turn on a little too easily. There have been several occasions where I have accidently turned them on while reaching to the back to utilize the oven control or the timers. So yes the noise of the burner ignition has turned out to be a great safety feature.
I love the fact that the burners have different power. The front right does heat things up really quickly and the lowest setting on that burner. The Wok grate works great. The Center burner/griddle is ok, it doesn't heat the griddle as evenly as I had hoped. So when using it I am shuffling food around a lot on it.
Oven: The use of the controls for the oven, timer etc. are pretty self explanatory. I love the fact that there are 2 timers, plus an additional 2 timers if you use the oven cooking time timer.
I have not used the self cleaning mode as of yet nor the ability to control the oven remotely thru the app (I don't think I ever will). However the delayed start is a great option.
Top Oven usage: be very careful about putting things in the top oven, it is more like a broiler. I did burn several things initially until I got used to it. I now set the temp control about 5 degrees lower than what the recipe calls for (same cooking time), make sure the top is covered with aluminum foil. I have read a lot of reviews that say the top oven is not friendly to use because the lower rack for the top oven doesn't slide out. This is true and it is a minor inconvenience to have to open the large door to remove items. Hopefully they will fix this in future models.
I did find the temperature (as measured with an oven thermometer) does match that which is displayed on the electronic controls.
Bottom Oven/Combined oven usage: No issues when using the bottom oven with an different temp than the top or as a single oven. I have used the bottom oven as my warming area when I am using the top oven.
Overall Oven: The one caution I will make is that you shouldn't have anything plastic near the back of the stove when the oven is on (plastic pot handles, etc). The oven vents it truly does cause things to melt. Be sure to use the conversion guide to adjust normal backing temps listed in recipes to the recommended temperature for a convection oven.
Warming/Storage drawer: Doesn't work well as a warming drawer unless you are using the bottom oven, which I don't do that often so it is being used as a storage drawer. We recently had an incident where a pan went behind the drawer and kept it from closing. We had to remove the drawer to get it out. Unfortunately the manual wasn't very helpful (picture was too small and not very clear) and ended up calling support. While we were on the phone with support I finally saw 2 little CLEAR levers on the drawer slides and pushed on those. According to the manual, you should push down on the Left and up on the right (the manual said to push on the slides, didn't even mention these levers). Turns out we had to lift up on the Left and down on the right. When I told the Samsung rep she didn't seam to concerned the manual was incorrect.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I hope I get my money's worth out of the product.

My 1st gas stove returned stove damaged, received 2nd stove circuit shorted when 1st plugged in by my electrician he found the circuit board cracked. Went to home depot to report problem while at store I called Samsung what a headache with Samsung service so I had Home depot talk to Samsung got service man to come a week later with new circuit board fixed problem, great repair service am totally happy. I am a little weary of what problems may come later but I did buy a warranty hopefully I will not have to use. I plan on buying a Samsung refrigerator after I pay off the stove hope all goes well with my stove love the look & features of stove . I have a Samsung phone & tablet never had a problem with either so I know Samsung is dependable and puts out good products. So I am going to keep stove .

We purchased the range (gas model) in mid December. My wife does a lot of cooking and baking from scratch. She made some pizza dough and was going to prebake the shells. The first one she baked in the upper over burned. She wound up removing the divider and using the whole oven and the rest baked properly. Recently she went out of town for a few days and one night I decided to make myself a tv dinner. I used the upper oven set at 350, place the dinner on a cookie sheet on the bottom rack and I set the timer for 45 minutes, per the cooking instructions. After about 35 minutes, I checked the dinner and discovered that the container holding the dinner was melting. We figured the split oven would be a gas saver, however, it appears to be quite useless, at least on the gas model.
