Poor performance refrigerator

just over a year in use and already refrigerator failing to cool. had service for the issue several months ago and still continues to fail cooling.
we have to keep unplugging it at least once a week to restart cooling of refrigerator.
service repair estimates another $370+ to have it repaired again. would not recommend purchasing this model to anyone.

dont waste your time. this thing quit working after only 2 years. we have had a repairman come three times, replacing the compressor and multiple parts. it still will not hold coolant so we are out of options. we are going to have to replace it. and we have been without a fully working refrigerator for 5 weeks. and add that to thr fact that getting a samsung approved repair for the warranty is impossible and will still charge you for the warranty repair, we are done with this brand. oh and check out the class action lawsuit for various refrigerator models.

the fans in the refrigerator keeps freezing up. the refrigeration then fails, water starts leaking down the interior back into the bins. was told a common problem.

We enjoyed this fridge for about 18 months and then it started to leak. The repairman said it wasn't a problem because Samsung had a kit to fix this problem, as they were aware of it. He said it wouldn't be too expensive. I thought I could live with that, though wasn't thrilled. When he came to install the kit he saw the fridge is sweating and Samsung deemed it unrepairable and since we did not have a warranty, nothing could be done.

I bought this refrigerator over a year ago and it works amazing! So much space to stock up on food. Freezer space is amazing as well. The filtered water and ice maker and a plus itself.

This is the first AND last SAMSUNG kitchen appliance I will ever own. Had a SAMSUNG television that lasted 2 years and now this high $$ refrigerator (SAMSUNG263TEASR/AA) will not self defrost causing the fan to burn up. The cool thing about it was that it happened on Christmas Day. Also no local shops will even touch these piles of stainless steel junk. Free fridge to whoever will come get this junk out of my home!

I have had this refrigerator for a month and so far I love it. We got it specifically because we live in Florida where it is hot and when we have friends over or my kids we are always running out of ice. No more. It has an ice maker in the door but also in the bottom freezer. Never have to buy ice again. I also love the freezer on the bottom, so much more room and the wide shelves on the top. Plenty of room for a large casserole. Many adjustable shelves. Nice having the water filter in the front for easy access. My only complaint is that the control panel is so dim I can barely see it. Luckily I have learned where water and ice are located but honestly I thought there was a light out because they are so dim. But boy do I love my ice!

I have this new refrigerator less than one week. I like the style and the interior LED light. The drawer in the freezer helps to manage your stored food and the freezer has an extra ice compartment. My frustration is with the water dispenser. There is no tray to hold the water that eventually is spilled. It causes the water to fall in front of the refrigerator and consequently creates water stains in the the steel. Why Samsung did not add a tray? This is a big mistake. I noticed that only when I received the refrigerator and started to use it. Besides that is a good product.

Love this fridge. Love being able to open the freezer and scoop ice. Our first one was installed improperly with the back hose kinked and the water was very slow. This one the water flows beautifully and we have all the ice we need. Love this fridge.

I have had this product for a little over two years. I just had my 5th visit from a repair man. Each visit of course cost me time at work because of the five hour window in which calls are scheduled.
The first repair was for a basic door repair but it took two service calls so a part could be ordered.
The next series of visits was to address the water that was leaking from the unit. Water pools under the large deli tray, freezes, thaws and then drains out onto my floor.
The first repairman came out, looked at the unit, said he had to order a part and come back to install it. He said it was something with the water filter housing.
Not long after his second visit to install said part, I woke to a small pond in my kitchen once again. My call to have someone come out led to the same thing - an appointment for a repairman to tell me he had to order a part and schedule another appointment to install it. This time he said it was the motor fan that was freezing.
And yes, it has happened again. A small pond in my kitchen because of this issue. This time I was told that the water tubes in the unit needed to be cleaned out.
So, I say "NOTHING BUT FRUSTRATED" with this product.
Samsung, please stand by your product. Contract with repair companies that fix it the first time and replace it when an issue arises over and over again.

I've had this fridge for just a year, and am currently waiting for a replacement. First, the cooling fan in the fridge started making a very loud vibration noise. Repair technicians replaced the part. That was about 5 months ago. Then, about 3 weeks ago, we were unable to open the freezer door. The bottom ice maker had leaked, filling the ice cube holder and part of the freezer with water, which froze the door shut. Once we got the freezer thawed out and the door opened, a support bar fell onto the floor and several steel ball-bearings went rolling across the floor. This time, Samsung is just replacing the whole fridge - must be cheaper to replace than to repair whatever all is wrong. Thank goodness it was still under warranty, and also that I even had the forethought to buy an extended warranty! After buying fridge, induction range, dishwasher and microwave a year ago, already the induction range and now the fridge had to be replaced.

My wife and i bought this fridge a couple months ago. we knew we wanted a french door fridge and i wanted dual ice makers..definitely limits choices. other considerations, stainless and we both liked the samsung name. still quite satisfied. the only item not 100% positive is that the bin that catches the ice in the bottom freezer tends to let cubes fall out the back... but even with that, i would buy this fridge again in a second.

Although it took a while to figure out how to find the best shelf to store beverages, leftovers, veggies, and sandwich fixings, this fridge has been fantastic! My favorite part is the dual ice makers; one on top for the in-door dispenser and the other in the drawer with the perfect size bucket to fill a small cooler for a day at the lake. The water dispenser is also high pressure and saves you having to buy a sink water filter or store filtered water maker in the fridge. My food stays fresh longer, especially fruits and veggies.
Downsides: Inside the french door with the dispenser, the door pockets are limited in size so it makes it hard to even store cans of Coke or condiments there; I even have some empty trying figure out what to store in them. The ice maker is a bit out so you'll have to get used to hearing the ice drop from two rooms away till the ice bucket fills, then it's not too bad. Every once in a while I hear a sharp popping sound from the fridge; after I consulted the manual they said that was normal but it also takes some getting used to.

I replaced my old white top mount freezer fridge with this beautiful ss french door model. It will take a little while to get used to opening both doors to get to my butter, but I will learn and enjoy. Two of my friends have french door fridges without the second icemaker and are always running out of ice, but not me. Yaay!
