Broken lid

i wish i had read the reviews before i purchased this unit. now 7 months later and the lid is broken at the hinge! my last samsung washer lasted 13 years this one 7 months i guess brand loyalty is meaningless. the lid has a metal hinge but the rest is all plastic and thin plastic at that. no wonder the hinge broke there. if you lower the wash basin and try to close the lid it puts pressure on the lid and the hinge to me this is a design issue and a manufacture defect but i will bet i will be stuck with a piece of crap washer in 5 months when the 1 year warranty expires

only 1 year and 6 months and stopped working. called samsung customer center. a man came here to repair was very nice man. service fee was$106.57 (including tax). he told me have to order panel control which is about $500. he said he might need to order more parts for later. he explained my washing machine very well. i decided to buy a new washing machine because it is too expensive to fix. warranty was only 1 year. so disappointed for this short life washing machine and paid $106.57 for nothing! i'm not going to buy samsung product anymore!

this washer is and has been a total nightmare. no matter the load size it always shakes excessive and gets unbalanced. have had suspension rods replaced and the mother board and still gets off balance and u can hear the rods stressing out. i do not recommend this washer as i am regretting purchasing this unit. samsung doesn't stand behind its products and always want to charge customers for their pieces of crap appliances.. wasted 699.00 for a washer to drive me insane

so...the month after our 1 year warranty ended, the soak tub broke. plastic just snapped in half! then today i closed the washer to start a load and again the plastic snapped. makes no sense! you pay good money for the product but its in reality made poorly and simply does not last. so disappointing.

spent a lot of money on this set 2 years ago and what a mistake. have tried any different settings i could. just does not take the dirt it of clothes. we use very good detergent as well. was a christmas present for my wife and she regrets getting rid of it 20 year old washer because it actually cleaned!

bought washer and dryer the same day. washer was fine for the first year, then started the problems. first issue was the washer would not finish a whole wash. then the washer would stop and call 8c. then the washer wouldn't complete a wash in normal cycle, so quick wash had to be used. then came back the 8c error code. replaced mems sensor after finding out warranty was expired. now the washer won't go past the initial fill and the drains and won't complete the wash. warranty conveniently expires early into having this thing. now technician is calling controller out. with all repair sights saying that this is bigger than just the controller. this thing is a nightmare.

originally bought a samsung washing machine that was recalled due to the lid popping up in the corner ( the plastic popped up and the hinge was exposed). i should have never gone with another samsung washer but i did because they covered it 100% due to the recall. i have since had the lid on the new washer replaced twice due to the same problem and now need a third new lid! samsung covered the cost for both of the lids and currently i am awaiting a callback from them about this recurring problem. twice i have called and they have assured me that they will be calling me back. two different customer service reps told me they created a ticket for me in order to get a call back and neither person did it correctly according to the third person i spoke to today.

warranty expired before we purchased the product lol we purchased the product 7/13/20 and the warranty expired in may! we called samsung customer service with screenshots of our purchase on best buy of the product but they said it wasn't enough proof...i went to the store for a duplicate copy and called again, but samsung customer service still refused to help us. thank god we did not throw out our old washer. we are currently using the old one while the new samsung washer collects dust. steer clear of this product!

samsung deleted my 1 star rating on 12/6. i order this & 8 other items 10/13, for my new home which has no appliances. with an expected delivery date of 11/12 on 11/10 i received a call that my appliances are delayed new delivery date is 11/24. i understood because of covid but was still concern if all items would be delivered before thanksgiving, i asked to speak to a manager & was told one would call me back within 72 hrs, no one called. i went online to chat with someone. the person tells me 4 items are delayed till 12/3 & the items in stock can't be delivered separately. on 12/2 they called that my items won't be in till 12/16. i asked to speak to a manager, no call back so we called & they said our items won't be delivered till probably february! thanksgiving & xmas ruined!

have lived with it over a month now. there is one downside to get out of the way first....its pretty tall. meaning all you shorties out there...you gonna need a step stool. i have a 4'11 person here and they cant reach to the bottom. i am 5'10 and have no problem. i would say anyone under 5'5 invest in a t-rex grapple claw. now on to the rest. this machine is super quiet compared to my old maytag. it is fast too. the bigger tub swallows anything i put into it. i find myself waiting for laundry to build up so i can use the tub size. if you are used to doing laundry every other day...this thing can make you do it once a week. depending on your clothing change desires. the black is sleek, the glass top has held up pretty well for all my mishaps of putting the basket stuff on top.

i have had this washer less than 2 years. the circuit board has failed and i called samsung parts and was told by their representative after giving her the part number that "that part has been discontinued with no replacement" . also, i checked several other websites and the part is no longer available. . customer service at samsung is terrible. i have had to call samsung everyday for 3 weeks, been put on hold or put in the que for a call back for over 2 hours at a time. often times with no call back from case management. i am told something different from every representative i've spoke with. i have kept a record of every phone call made with every person and the detail of the conversation. i encourage every person to consider not purchasing any product from samsung.

this washer is horrible, i constently have issues with medium to large loads. even if its on the heavy duty setring kr bedding. will always become unbalanced. i feel like many night im up teying to fix this demon of a washer and literally right now its 1:11am and im trying to fix it. was on spin. then it was not spinning. i re shuffled fhe clothing. and we always make sure not to over fill it and disperse it around. my machine is either defective or the quality sucks. but $700+ later its more stress than i ever expected!!

got 7/21/20. wa52m7750av. all the features i was so excited about. the capacity is great. fits 3 kingsized pillows no problem! but my issue with it, is the lid. i washed 3 loads so far. the 1st. there was water on the outside of the machine & the floor. can't observe, it's riddled with water and fog, & too hot to touch. it's getting noisy. 3rd, less water on the floor+drops on the side. lift the lid waters leaks out. is the lid defective? because i read the manufacturers description about the lid. and yes it glides slow to lower, but pressure must be applied to close; hence slam noise! i have to wipe it down and let it air dry. absolutely sad. the release jams. huge consumer who owns 80% of my items from them. returning it is still an option. sticking with your tvs & phones

I have had this washer for a year and a half and I have regretted it from day one. It has the potential to be a great washer because it has a lot of different settings, but when I want to use the most basic setting (normal wash, heavy soil, warm water), the basin fills with about one inch of water, gyrates around for an hour, which in some cases has torn fabrics since they are just pulling against each other rather than being slightly suspended in water, and when all the cycles are done, I literally pull out clothes that are half dry. Water never even touched them in some places. So if I actually want CLEAN and UNDAMAGED fabrics from my "energy efficient" Samsung washer, I have to use the setting that fills the basin FULL of water rather than rely on it to correctly use an efficient amount of water. Additionally, my washer has recently developed this high pitched squealing sound when the basin rotates.

We bought the Samsung Activewash 1 1/2 years ago and noticed a gradual increase in the "rocking" of the machine and the noise level. Recently the spin cycle doesn't seem to remove enough of the rinse water. Today the left-side hinge on the lid popped off, causing the lid to crack and the plastic to actually twist. A call to Samsung ended with them denying any assistance with correcting the problem - not even offering to replace the lid. There are only two of us in the household, and we do no more than 3 or 4 loads of laundry per week, so the machine has not been overworked. Very disappointed with Samsung.

If I Could Only Change My Mind On This Washer

I built a new house, bought all new appliances. Wanted a top loader. Liked the looks of Samsung, liked all the bells and whistles of this appliance. It's here now, and I HATE it! My fault, it's too deep to reach into to retrieve all my clothes. I have to use my tip toes to reach into the bottom. If washing any sheets or blankets. The top sheet or top blanket in the pile will cover all the rest of the pile almost like a balloon over the pile. I put in a color sheet to prevent color bleeding and because the sheet covered the rest of the pile, I ended up with pink sheets and pillow cases because the color sheet couldn't be dispersed throughout the machine. The dryer to this match isn't any better! It gets half of my clothes dry. I have to to do another time of drying. I'm a busy mom...so, this machine Samsung, IS NOT making life easier when I have baseball uniforms and soccer uniforms that have to be washed and I have to redo laundry because it isn't getting cleaned, , getting colored or not getting dry enough! Wish I could give a good review, because generally I like Samsung. Sorry!

Purchased about 18 months ago and it has never really worked well. Tried different settings as instructed and still same results. Clothes are wet coming out but dirt and lint still attached to clothes. I can brush the dirt and lint off while still wet but the washer will not wash it away.

Lasted Less Than 2 YEARS - Ongoing Issues

We have had the Samsung 5.2 cu model # WA52J8700PL for less than two years. We have had to replace the belt twice (on the dryer in the set) and now the control panel is going out on the washer in just TWO YEARS. That is ridiculous. And of course it's outside of warranty, and we can't seem to get anyone to help. Abt Appliance won't take responsibility for selling a product with a known issue (read other reviews). And we can't fins anyone at Samsung to help us get this resolved. We now have to hunt down a repair tech to see if it's even worth getting fixed. Such a nightmare. I will NEVER buy Samsung again. I was so excited for this set, and it has completely disappointed. From the length of time for a simple wash cycle to the softener container that leaks to this major issue with the control panel. Unbelievable.

This is a review of model WA52J8700AP/A2. This product ended up in the trash less than two years in use. There are only 2 professionals living in South Florida, so we do not wear heavy clothes. The washer performed flawlessly until the washer started banging violently during the spin cycle. Out of Warranty, we needed to obtain service. Could not get service through Samsung's local repair company. Not sure why, but after we set up service, someone (no one knows) cancelled the service call. So we went with another reputable company. This product had two major issues with it. Motor and control board. If I repaired it myself, parts alone with have been about $550. If I had it repaired by service company it would have cost me $750+. I will never buy a Samsung appliance again. I loved the features and it did wash well, but, if it doesn't last two years what good is it?

Great washer super efficient cleans well and fast. The only problem so far is my wife is 5"4' and when she is unloading the washer all you see is her feet in the air as she dives into the tub to get the laundry out....lol

It's December and I've had this machine for 2 months now.....I absolutely love it, not only is it gorgeous,but the drum is huge!! It operates very quietly. I also love the music when it's done.

Lid's crack

Purhcased this last May from Home Depot, the soaking tray and lid have both broken close to the hinges. I have tried to contact them for Service, but their site does not work. You put the Serial number in from your registered product page and it claims it's an invalid number. I will have to add photos so others don't fall victim to these.

Samsung's return & warranty is just disappointing...For instance, I had bought a Dolby Atmos soundbar, I had it less than year?...one of the main features stopped working. Now it's a $900 paper weight. Samsung couldn't help me. Hopefully, this washer doesn't go out on me. I like Samsungs products...expensive....but they just need to get their return & warranty together.

Poorly designed with cheap plastic

The washer will hold a lot of clothes but does a poor job cleaning them. The small plastic wash basin folds up with the lid and you constantly hit your head on it trying to grab the clothes that are deep down in the tub. I am 6'1" and can barely reach the bottom and my wife needs a step stool to do laundry. The cheap plastic wash basin broke at the hinge and fell in the machine while opening the lid. For being a $1000 machine it sure is cheaply made.

We bought this washer a year ago, and every time we need to do bedding/big blankets, we have major issues. It takes hours to "drain/rinse" because i have to keep resetting the washer. We put it on the bedding cycle, and it still does not work. When washing towels, they come out hard, even after putting fabric softener in on the towels. We even bought new towels thinking it was just because they were old. Nope. We have had to but a lot of new clothes due to the washer leaving "black" marks on our shirts.
